Kuldip Dave

Senior Vice President Of Research at The ALS Association

Kuldip Dave has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Since 2019, they have been working at The ALS Association, initially as the Vice President of Research and later promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Research in 2022. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2019, they worked at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, serving in various roles including Director and Senior Associate Director. Notably, they were responsible for launching and implementing innovative research initiatives, coordinating workshops, managing research projects, and overseeing specific programs focused on therapeutic development and target validation in Parkinson's disease. Before joining The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Kuldip worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Galleon Pharmaceuticals in 2009, leading a team in the development and validation of preclinical pain models and testing novel small molecule leads. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Wyeth Research, leading teams in the development and validation of preclinical models for anxiety and depression disorders. Kuldip's career began at Adolor Corporation in 2004, where they served as a Doctoral Fellow and played a significant role in developing assays to study neurotransmitter release, identifying biomarkers, and establishing functional assays to determine the potency and efficacy of new compounds in neuronal-based systems.

Kuldip Dave earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Psychology from Rutgers University between 1994 and 1998. Kuldip then pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Physiology at Drexel University College of Medicine from 1998 to 2004. During their Ph.D., Kuldip conducted research in the labs of Dr. Vince Aloyo and Dr. John Harvey.
