Alex Jordan

Alex Jordan is a skilled public health professional with experience in research and implementation in epidemiology and environmental health. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at The Aurum Institute since May 2016, Alex works with South African Epidemiologists to evaluate HIV and tuberculosis surveillance within correctional facilities. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Emory University’s Department of Global Health, where data management and literature summarization were key responsibilities. Alex's background also includes serving as an Environmental Extension Worker with the Peace Corps in Tanzania, focusing on agricultural projects and health education. Additionally, experience as an assistant t-shirt printer and a lab assistant in aquatic toxicology complements a solid educational foundation with a Master of Public Health in Global Epidemiology from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia.
