Kyle Gillespie possesses a diverse background in engineering and research, with significant experience in both internships and academic support roles. As an Engineering Intern at The Behemoth since May 2017, Kyle developed an Arduino Uno-enabled device for Chonku Chonku prize machines, enhancing customer interaction through integrated LED and sound systems. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Yonder Dynamics, Kyle applies expertise gained from earlier roles, including as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Bioinspired Robotics and Design Lab, where contributions included CAD modeling and manufacturing of polymer actuators. Prior work at Dr. Joseph Wang's Nanoengineering Lab involved conducting experimental research and collaborating on academic publications, while an internship at Fabric8Labs focused on grant proposals and CAD modeling for metal 3D printing systems. Kyle also engaged with youth as an Engineering Camp Counselor at The Kids College, introducing young learners to fundamental engineering principles. Kyle completed a degree at UC San Diego from 2014 to 2018.
