Rajeev Tewari

Rajeev Tewari has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Rajeev began their career as Deputy Manager at Fabricators India, where they were responsible for work planning, liaising with railways and public health engineering departments, and preparing tenders. Rajeev then worked as a Senior Research Officer at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, where they assisted faculty members with data collection, training, and reporting.

After that, Rajeev served as a Programme Officer for the Community Participation Unit, where they implemented an integrated water supply, sanitation, and health education program in Rajasthan. Rajeev also fulfilled administrative responsibilities and represented the organization to donors and the government.

Rajeev then joined Save the Children UK as a Zonal Director, managing the zonal office and advocating for child-centered development programs. Rajeev played a crucial role in addressing issues such as child labor, street children, and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Following that, Rajeev worked as a Programme Manager at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, where they focused on resource mobilization, conducting research, and facilitating trainings and capacity-building interventions.

Rajeev then moved on to Catholic Relief Services, where they served as State Representative and Head of Office. In this role, they managed a multi-sector program for marginalized people and provided mentorship and coaching to a multidisciplinary team. Rajeev also built strategic alliances, mobilized resources, and ensured compliance with organizational systems.

After that, Rajeev worked for the United Nations Population Fund as a State Programme Coordinator, representing UNFPA's cooperation with the Gujarat state government and stakeholders. Rajeev advocated for policies supportive of UNFPA's goals, built alliances, and facilitated planning and capacity building.

Rajeev then became the Regional Representative for South Asia at Lutheran World Relief. In this position, they provided management and leadership to multidisciplinary teams and served as a crucial link between headquarters and regional and country offices. Rajeev formulated regional strategies, identified funding sources, and facilitated partnerships and advocacy.

Most recently, Rajeev worked as a Consultant for various NGOs, supporting their development, implementation, and monitoring of projects and programs. Rajeev drew upon their extensive experience to provide guidance and best practices.

Currently, Rajeev serves as the Chief Operations Officer at The Brooke, where they develop, facilitates, and monitors the Country Strategic Plan and Annual Plan with Budgets and Resources. Rajeev supports the country program and partners in project implementation and monitoring, all while drawing upon their vast knowledge and expertise.

Rajeev Tewari obtained their Master's Degree in Social Work from the Udaipur School of Social Work from 1984 to 1986.
