Ziyad Al-Mudarra

Mr. Ziyad Al-Mudarra was appointed as Group VP of Corporate Affairs in January 2021 and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. His expertise covers a range of business roles including strategic planning, business development and marketing across the industrial and energy sectors.

In his current role, Mr. Al-Mudarra is responsible for leading the Corporate Affairs function within TAQA Group and is focused on developing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders to accelerate and enhance TAQA’s decision making process and enable the delivery of strategic initiatives for the company.

Mr. Al-Mudarra joined TAQA in 2006, and has held several leadership roles during his time with the company, including Head of Business Development, Vice President of Strategy and Business Planning, and most recently as Vice President of Group HR. Prior to joining TAQA, Mr. Al-Mudarra held several positions with Saudi Aramco in the Industrial Development and Strategic Sourcing department. Prior to that he held positions in Zamil Industrial Investment Company and Unilever where he was responsible for Marketing activities.

Mr. Al-Mudarra holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing – Industrial Management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and a master’s degree in Commercial Law from Dar Al Uloom University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has also completed several executive programs at IMD Business School, INSEAD and Stanford Business School.
