Fintan Aylward

Fintan Aylward has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Fintan is currently serving as the Head of Planning, Design, and Delivery at The Irish Times, where they lead software development and project management for The Irish Times Group. Prior to this, they worked as a Transformation Director at the Arts Council of Ireland for two years. Before that, they held the position of CIO and Head of Projects and Systems at Viatel for four years. Fintan also has experience working as a Director of Program Management at Datalex and Liberty Global, where they drove platform improvement initiatives and new product launches. Fintan started their career as a Senior Program Manager at Irdeto and has also worked as a Software Engineer at Graham Technology, Distributed Software Consultancy, and Ericsson.

Fintan Aylward earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematical Science from Dublin City University from 1986 to 1990. Fintan further pursued a Higher Diploma in Software Design and Development with a focus on Software design and development at the University of Galway from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, they hold certifications in Prince2, PMP, and MSP.
