Adil Farooq is a dedicated veterinary professional with diverse experience in animal health and research. Currently a researcher at the Molecular Lab of Parasitology, UVAS, from September 2023 to July 2024, Adil specializes in diagnosing hemoparasites using microscopy, DNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Prior experience includes serving as a veterinarian at Pet City Animal Hospital, where responsibilities included client interactions, clinical examinations, and performing surgical procedures. As a veterinary medicine intern at Todd's Welfare Society, Adil contributed to a TNVR project and assisted in capturing dogs. Additional internships included work with Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys, and a fellowship at Amal Academy, where leadership and communication skills were developed. Adil completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master's in International Animal Health through the University of Edinburgh Online Learning.
