Mariana Hristova

Mariana Hristova is currently the Financial Controller at The Landmark London. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Finance for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts from November 2014 to March 2015. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the financial management of hotel operations, including analysis and reporting performance against key metrics. Mariana was also instrumental in shaping financial objectives for the business plan, developing modelling capabilities to support projections and drive decision-making.

From February 2004 to June 2011, Hristova served as the Director of Finance and Accounting for Marriott International. In this role, they were responsible for leading the approval of annual budgets, incorporating measures to evaluate throughout the year and adjust estimates as required. Mariana also managed operational cash flow within tight parameters, balancing the needs of the owners, employees and vendors in delivering against business objectives.

Prior to their role at Marriott International, Hristova served as the Assistant Director of Finance - Opening for Marriott Hotels from August 2001 to February 2004. In this role, they were responsible for supervising the review of VAT reconciliations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify past errors, quantify underpayments and implement procedures to safeguard future compliance.

Mariana Hristova has an Associate degree from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and a Master's degree in International Tourism Management from Ikonomièeski universitet, Varna. Mariana also has certification from Dale Carnegie Training in Effective Communication Skills for Success in Business and High Impact Presentations, certification from Marriott International in Foundations of Leadership/Trainer Certification Level II (presentations)/Impact Leadership/Navigating Thought Change/World Class Negotiations/Business Acumen, and certification from Franklin Covey & Associates in The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
