Taylor Johnson

Taylor Johnson is an experienced journalist specializing in education reporting, currently serving as an Education Reporter at The Modesto Bee since June 2023, covering K-12 schools and higher education issues in the Modesto area. Previously, Taylor worked as an Education and Politics Reporter for Mott Haven Herald, focusing on the South Bronx, and completed an internship at Bloomberg News, where reporting centered on intersectional issues of race, sexuality, gender, and class. Taylor's earlier experience includes editorial roles at The Nevada Sagebrush, advancing from Staff Writer to News Editor, and a research internship at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Taylor holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
