Alan King

Alan King has extensive experience in optimization roles within the mining industry. Alan started their career as the Head of AO for Anglo American Coal Global from August 2008 to December 2009. Alan then joined MSA Group Services in January 2010 as the Head of Asset Optimization Performance Analysis until August 2011. From September 2011, they took on the role of Head of AO Resource to Market Optimization, where they focused on developing and deploying a system for optimizing performance across the mining value chain. In February 2019, Alan became the Head of Optimization at The MSA Group, continuing their work in this field.

Alan King obtained their Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of the Witwatersrand, completing their studies between 1983 and 1986. Prior to that, they attended Marist Brothers College Observatory Johannesburg, although the specific dates and degree obtained from this institution are unknown.
