Nilanthi Russell

Nilanthi Russell has a diverse work background. Nilanthi started their career as a Regional Financial Controller at British Airways in 2000 and later became a Country Manager for several regions. Nilanthi joined Virgin Atlantic Airways in 2007, where they served as a Sales and Marketing Manager and later as a Country Manager, responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies. In 2011, they joined Etihad Airways as a General Manager, where they successfully set up operations in Kenya and executed sales and marketing strategies. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Business Consultant at Towergate Insurance before joining The School of Life in 2016 as the Head of Finance. Overall, Nilanthi has a strong background in finance, leadership, sales, and marketing.

Nilanthi Russell attended Perse School For Girls in Cambridge from 1980 to 1991. Nilanthi then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Modern European Studies at UCL from 1992 to 1996.
