Andrew Shelton

Andrew Shelton, SPHR has an extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Andrew is currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at Sunrock, where they lead the HR department and contributes to process and culture change for the company's growth. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Barrett Industries, providing recruitment leadership for the company and its parent company, Colas, Inc. Andrew has also served as the Human Resources Director at HRI, INC., where they led all HR functions and managed a team of professionals. Before that, Andrew was the Human Resources Director at BNSF Railway, where they supported a large number of employees across multiple locations and achieved record hiring. Furthermore, they worked as an HR Director/Advisor at Graham Group Ltd., providing HR support and managing benefits programs. Additionally, they gained experience as a Registered Representative and Agent at New York Life Insurance Company, providing financial recommendations and surpassing sales goals. Andrew also served as the HR Manager at COLASKA INC, where they were responsible for managing employees across Alaska. Prior to that, they worked as an HR Business Partner at Lumen Technologies, providing HR support to multiple vice presidents and their teams. Andrew started their career as an HR Generalist at McKee Foods Corporation and as a Human Resources Manager at GE Energy.

Andrew Shelton, SPHR completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Western Washington University, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. Andrew then pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1994. Later, they earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they studied from 2001 to 2005.
