Jacob Neal

Jacob Neal is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on the experimental characterization of a conical nozzle for a cold-gas thruster in collaboration with Atomos Space. Previously, Jacob completed a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where research centered on flow physics and control of separation for low aspect ratio wings. Experience includes internships at Sandia National Laboratories in computational solid mechanics and modeling of carbon fiber composites, as well as a research assistant role at the UMaine Advanced Structures and Composites Center. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and has also served in various leadership and instructional positions during academic tenure.
