Shane Goldstein Smith

Shane Goldstein Smith has extensive work experience in the education sector. In 2000, they began their career as a High School Teacher at Grayslake Community High School District 127. Shane then went on to work at Chicago Public Schools, where they held various roles, including Deputy Chief of Schools, Principal, Senior Manager, and Teacher, from 2002 to 2015.

In 2015, Shane joined Hebrew Public as the Chief Schools Officer, a position they held until 2019. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the organization's schools. In 2019, they briefly served as the Head of Schools at WeGrow, a division of The We Company.

Shane then transitioned to the role of Chief Academic Officer at Ingenious Schools, an EdTech startup, from 2019 to 2022. There, they played a key role in developing the company's academic strategies and initiatives.

Since 2022, Shane has been the Founder and CEO of CultivateEd: An Education Consultancy, where they coach the executive leadership of various SaaS clients, including Lightspeed Systems, Harvard University, Avenue E Advisors, and Ingenious Schools Network. Shane'sfocus is on helping these clients maximize their potential and grow their retained subscriber base.

In 2023, Shane joined ThinkCERCA as the Director of School and District Partnership Development, where they are responsible for cultivating relationships with schools and districts to promote the company's education solutions.

Shane Goldstein Smith's education history is as follows:

Shane earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications (PR) and History from Miami University, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Following that, Shane pursued a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree at Northwestern University from 1999 to 2000.

Shane furthered their education by enrolling in the National Louis University, where they completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in the field of Educational Leadership, studying there from 2008 to 2012.

Additionally, Shane attended Deerfield High School from 1990 to 1994 for their high school education.

In terms of certifications, Shane obtained several additional qualifications. These include the HubSpot Sales Software certification from HubSpot Academy, completed in July 2023, and attendance at the ASU+GSV Summit in 2023. Shane also earned the ASU GSV Virtual Summit 2020 - Innovation Certificate in October 2020 and participated in the GSV Virtual Summit Series in April 2020. Furthermore, they attended the ASU + GSV Summit in both 2019 and 2018.
