Annie Johnson

Annie Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Annie started their career in 2010 as a BA student at the University of Waterloo while also working as a Teaching Assistant from 2013 to 2014.

In 2013, they took on the role of Personal Trainer/Gym Supervisor at the University of Waterloo Athletics.

Annie then worked as a Certified Personal Trainer at Depth Training & Physiotherapy from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, they held multiple positions including Manager at Good Vibes Juice Co., Records Assistant at Grand River Hospital, and Banquet Server at The Walper Hotel. In their role at The Walper Hotel, they implemented improvements to event management and planning leading to better outcomes.

Annie later worked as an Executive Assistant to the CEO at Chalk in 2018, where they managed projects and events and facilitated communications between executives.

Annie then moved on to ApplyBoard, where they served as the Executive Assistant to the CMO from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they worked closely with stakeholders and team leaders to achieve goals and reach KPIs.

In 2019, they briefly worked as a Spa Administrator at Jolanta's Spa before joining ThinkLP in 2020. At ThinkLP, Annie has held various roles including Marketing Coordinator and PeopleOps.

Throughout their career, Annie has demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a proactive and results-driven approach.

Annie Johnson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Guelph in 2008-2009. Annie then pursued a Bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature from Wilfrid Laurier University from 2009 to 2010. Annie continued their education at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (B.A.Sc.) in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a focus on Parks and Tourism Management from 2010 to 2013. Annie furthered their education at the same university and earned a Master's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Annie received several certifications in language proficiency. In 2015, they obtained Duolingo certifications for intermediate-level French and elementary-level German and Spanish.
