Olesya K.

Olesya K. has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Olesya is currently working as a Product Manager at Third Opinion AI since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Ortho Baltic from January 2020 to January 2023 as a Product Manager and Senior Biomechanical Researcher. In this role, they led an Agile product development process and managed the software for planning maxillofacial surgeries and joint replacement surgeries.

Before that, Olesya worked at CM Systems from November 2017 to December 2019 as a Product Manager (Product Owner). Olesya implemented Agile and Scrum methodologies and successfully launched telehealth software and a VR application for designing operating rooms.

Olesya's previous experience includes working as a Senior Researcher at the University of Oulu from October 2013 to April 2018, where they obtained a Ph.D. degree in subject-specific finite element modeling of the knee joint. Olesya also worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Intermedia from April 2012 to August 2013.

Furthermore, Olesya's early career included working as a Junior Research Fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from September 2008 to December 2011. Olesya focused on the development and application of MRI-based musculoskeletal models and also served as a teaching assistant for a course on Biomechanics of Human Movement.

Olesya K. received their Master's degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Saint Petersburg State University from 2002 to 2007. Olesya then pursued a Licentiate degree in Engineering Mechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, completing it from 2008 to 2011. Olesya K. furthered their education by obtaining a PhD in Biomechanics/ Biomedical engineering /Medical technologies from the University of Oulu between 2013 and 2018.
