Ziad Elghazzawi

Vice President Of Engineering at Third Pole Therapeutics

Ziad Elghazzawi has extensive experience in engineering and R&D leadership roles. Ziad currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Third Pole Therapeutics since November 2019. Prior to this, they were the VP of R&D at Respiratory Motion, Inc. from April 2019 to November 2019. Earlier, they worked as the Vice President of Engineering at AEI Boston from August 2018 to March 2019. Ziad'sresponsibilities included leading the R&D organization, acquiring talent, optimizing product delivery process, and aligning technical roadmaps to company strategy.

Before joining AEI Boston, Ziad held the position of Director of R&D and PMO at Medtronic from March 2013 to June 2018. Ziad also worked at ZOLL Medical Corporation as the Director of Engineering, Product Planning and Management from April 2002 to March 2013. During their time at ZOLL, they successfully launched various medical devices for different markets, including the military, air-medical, public access, and clinical markets.

Ziad started their career as the Engineering Director at Telephotonics in 2001 and previously worked as a Manager of Signal Processing at Siemens Medical Systems from September 1989 to August 2000. Overall, Ziad Elghazzawi has a strong background in engineering, R&D, and product management, with a focus on achieving strategic objectives and delivering innovative solutions to exceed customer expectations.

Ziad Elghazzawi pursued higher education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2008 to 2010. During this period, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business Administration.

Prior to their MBA, Ziad attended Boston University from 1985 to 1997 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering. Ziad'sstudies at Boston University focused on the field of Electrical Engineering.
