Anuj Varma

Anuj Varma is a seasoned software engineer with significant experience in platform engineering and product development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Thumbtack since May 2018, Anuj previously held roles at GE Digital and American Express as a Senior Software Engineer. Anuj's career began at Securonix, where contributions included adding Websocket support and designing RESTful APIs, as well as architecting solutions for maximum product uptime. Prior experience includes research work at Tower Lab at USC, consulting for Sigza Authentication Systems, and technical leadership at Sketch Lounge Web Services. Anuj started as a Systems Engineer at Infosys Technologies, contributing to IT transformation projects. Anuj holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the University of Southern California and the University of Maryland, respectively, along with a Bachelor's in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from MIT Manipal.
