Sharmeen Lakhani

Sharmeen Lakhani is an experienced financial services professional and non-public arbitrator, currently serving at FINRA since February 2022. Lakhani has a longstanding volunteer commitment with the Aga Khan Foundation USA since January 1998. Previous roles include working as a financial services professional at The Leaders Group, Inc. from September 2021 to November 2022, and at NYLIFE Securities LLC from 2011 to November 2021, where relevant securities products were offered. Additionally, Lakhani was a licensed agent with New York Life Insurance Company from June 2005 to November 2021, specializing in insurance sales. Earlier career experience includes architectural roles at HKS from April 1999 to June 2002 and at ARCOP Associates Pvt. Ltd. in 1997. Lakhani holds a degree from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, which was completed between 1991 and 1996, and attended St Joseph's Convent School for high school education in science.
