Barbara Tumaini

Barbara Tumaini is a seasoned professional in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as Lab Manager at the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine - Tigem since April 2013. With prior experience as a Post Graduate Fellow at both the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and the National Institutes of Health, Barbara has developed and scaled production processes for genetically modified T-cells aimed at treating B-cell malignancies in pediatric patients. Previous roles include a Fellowship at IEO - Dept. of Experimental Oncology-Drug Discovery Program, where laboratory work focused on protein cloning, and a position as a Cell Process Development technician at MolMed, specializing in production processes for genetically modified cells for leukemia and solid tumors. Barbara's research background includes a role as a researcher at DIBIT - San Raffaele, where research involved oncogenes, and an academic foundation from Università Milano-Bicocca, culminating in a Master degree in Industrial Biotechnology.
