Roman Kasumov

Roman Kasumov has a diverse professional background, with experience spanning over 15 years in the software development industry. Roman is currently working at Tipalti as the Director of Engineering, a role which they started in July 2023.

Before joining Tipalti, Roman worked at Credo Bank as the Head of Software Development Division and Digital Business Consultant. During their time at Credo Bank, they managed a department of over 60 software developers and was responsible for integrating and mentoring them in new technologies. Roman also implemented modern software architecture principles such as Microservices, DDD, and SOA. Roman held this position from August 2019 to May 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Unit Head of Software Development, starting in May 2018 and ending in August 2019.

Earlier in their career, Roman worked at Alta Software as the Head of Web and Mobile Department. In this role, they led a team of developers and developed digital solutions for Georgian banks, including internet banking and mobile banking. Roman also facilitated integration with international multichannel banking platforms. Roman held this position from March 2015 to April 2018. Prior to being the Head of the Web and Mobile Department, they worked as the Chief Programmer from April 2011 to April 2015 and as a Software Engineer from March 2007 to April 2011.

Roman's earliest work experience was at Delta Systems, where they served as a Software Developer from June 2006 to March 2007.

In terms of certifications, Roman obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In 2010, they obtained certifications for MCTS (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5) in various applications including Windows Communication Foundation Applications, ADO.NET Application Development, ASP.NET Applications, Windows Communication Foundation Application Development, and Windows Forms Application Development. In 2011, they further obtained certifications as an MCITP (Microsoft Database Developer 2008) and MCTS (Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development Foundation).
