Tommy S. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tommy is currently the CIO at TPG, Inc., where they oversee multiple departments, including Engineering, IT, Security, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Some of their key achievements at TPG include transitioning the company from a Tier 1 data center to a fully AWS cloud solution and enhancing security compliance to meet SOC2 Type2, PCI, and HIPAA certifications.

Before joining TPG, Tommy served as the CTO at TPG, where they focused on Engineering, IT, Security, DevOps, and Platform Engineering. During their tenure, they successfully transitioned TPG from a Tier 4 data center to a Tier 1 data center, improving uptime, and implemented Agile/Scrum methodologies for engineering processes.

Tommy also has experience as a Board Member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Industrial Advisory Board at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Tommy has founded and served as CEO of BluuAlpha Technologies, LLC and held leadership positions at Millennium Corporation, COLSA, Signalink, Inc., and the US Army. Tommy S. continued their educational pursuits at The University of Alabama in Huntsville and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Engineering from 2012 to 2020.
