Eric Moreau

Software Engineering Manager at TraceLink

Eric Moreau has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Eric started their career as a Research Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they worked on a research grant exploring the preservation of old video games. Eric then joined 1st Playable Productions as a Technical Designer, focusing on actionscript programming for menu systems and gameplay logic. Eric later returned to Rochester Institute of Technology as an Adjunct Professor for Interactive Games and Media, teaching 2D Animation for Interactive Media and emphasizing believable character creation. Eric then became a Software Engineer at ROC IT Solutions, where they primarily worked on C++ and Java programming for an inventory tracking system. ROC IT Solutions was acquired by TraceLink, and Eric continued their work as a Software Engineer there. Eric eventually took on the role of Technical Lead, leading the development of the Smart Inventory Tracker and serving as a team lead for component development on the Opus Platform. Currently, Eric is a Software Engineering Manager at TraceLink.

Eric Moreau earned a Bachelor of Science degree in New Media Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2003 to 2007. Eric then pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Masters of Science degree in Game Design and Development from 2008 to 2011. In July 2020, Eric Moreau also obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
