Igor Chernysh

Igor Chernysh has extensive work experience in the field of data management and database administration. Igor currently holds the position of DevOps Engineer at Tracer, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Database Engineer at Autonation USA Corporation from 2020 to 2022.

Igor spent a significant portion of their career at Mitel, where they served as the Sr. Manager of Systems and Databases from 2012 to 2020. Igor led teams of infrastructure operations engineers and DBAs, managing the former Shoretel Sky system and database environments. During their time at Mitel, Igor utilized various technologies such as vSphere, SAN, Infoblox, MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, MySQL, Postgres, and Vertica.

Before Mitel, Igor held the position of Sr. Director of Data Management at WebMD from 2008 to 2012. Igor was responsible for overseeing data management activities in this role. Prior to WebMD, they worked as the Director of Data Management at Epana Networks from 2006 to 2008. Here, Igor managed corporate Oracle and SQL Server multi-terabyte data and database systems, and led various projects including database disaster recovery site establishment and conceptual knowledge management infrastructure development.

Earlier in their career, Igor served as the DBA Manager at Register.com from 2002 to 2006. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of database administration and played a key role in stabilizing the database infrastructure. Prior to this, they worked as the DBA Manager at e-Steel.com from 1999 to 2002, where they were responsible for the architecture, design, installation, and maintenance of the database environments.

Igor started their career as an independent consultant, serving as a Sr. Oracle DBA for notable organizations such as Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, NYNEX, Dai-lchi Kangyo Bank, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T from 1996 to 1998. Igor was involved in deploying the first Oracle-based production application within the organizations and completed Y2K testing and certification.

Additionally, Igor had a role as an Oracle DBA at IDT Telecom in 1995.

Igor Chernysh obtained their Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KVIRTU from 1984 to 1989. Igor later pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University Silberman College of Business, completing it from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Igor Chernysh holds certifications in "Learning VMware vSAN" from LinkedIn, obtained in September 2019, and "HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003)" from HashiCorp, obtained in May 2023.
