Aka Chilala

Aka Chilala is an accomplished data engineering professional with extensive experience in various technical roles. Currently serving as Lead Data Engineer at Trade Me since October 2022, Aka has previously held significant positions such as Senior Data Engineer at the Financial Markets Authority - New Zealand from June 2020 to October 2022, and Senior Consultant in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing at Theta Systems Ltd from August 2013 to May 2020. As co-founder and director of EBONICSOFT Limited from July 2006 to March 2013, Aka played a key role in ERP integration and implementation. Additional experience includes roles as Oracle DBA and Software Developer at Turnkey Africa Ltd, and training students in Oracle 9i at United States International University - USIU (Kenya). Aka began the career as a Software Developer at Cubed Systems Limited and Software Technologies Limited, having acquired Oracle DBA certification from Oracle University. Education includes attendance at Kabulonga Boys Secondary School from 1992 to 1996.
