Philippa Hedley-Takhar

Philippa Hedley-Takhar has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 1998, they started their career as a Technical Sales Executive at H2O Chemicals Ltd, where they presented Health and Safety legislation and provided management services and training packages. From 2002 to 2007, they worked at Sheffield First For Investment as an Enquiry Management Officer and later as an Assistant Investment Manager for Advanced Manufacturing.

Starting in 2007, Philippa joined Creative Sheffield as the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Growth Manager and later became the Sector Growth Manager for Healthcare Technologies. In 2015, they became the Head of Investment and Partnerships at the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network. Philippa further progressed in their career and served as the NHS England Test Bed Programme Manager at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from 2017 to 2018.

From 2018 to 2022, Philippa worked as the Business Development Manager and Neurological Conditions Theme Manager at the NIHR Devices for Dignity MedTech Co-operative. During this time, they developed strategic relationships and managed the Healthcare Science Innovation Fellowships Programme. In 2022, they joined P4SY Precision Medicine Accelerator South Yorkshire as the Programme Manager and also served as the P4SY Programme Manager & MedTech Connector at Capital Enterprise.

Currently, Philippa holds the position of Director of Operations at Tribosonics, a transformational technology business focused on delivering impact in sectors such as transportation, power generation, and manufacturing.

Philippa Hedley-Takhar's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Urban Regeneration, which they obtained from Sheffield Hallam University from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Geology from The University of Sheffield, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Philippa also attended Sheffield High School for Girls from 1986 to 1991. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the Directors Development Programme Accelerator from In Professional Development (InPD) in May 2023, Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management from ILM in December 2021, AgilePM® Foundation from APMG International in June 2020, and AgilePM® PRACTITIONER from APMG International in April 2021.
