Alessandro Usseglio Viretta

Alessandro Usseglio Viretta has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alessandro'smost recent role is as the Head of Tech Talent and Innovation at Tributary Ventures, Inc. which they started in May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Startup Mentor, Entrepreneur, and Investor starting from September 2020.

Alessandro also has a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. In 2013, they co-founded Fabnami, a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Intelligent Process Automation solution for 3D printing bureaus. Alessandro was responsible for the development and marketing of the platform until September 2020. Notable clients of Fabnami included 3DPrintUK, RICOH, Avid, and PolySpectra.

From 2008 to 2020, Alessandro was the Founder of In Numero LLC, where they provided software architecture and development consulting services in the field of ML/AI (Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things). During this time, they also continued to work on the development and marketing of Fabnami.

In addition, Alessandro has held various positions in different organizations. Alessandro served as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at CustVox AG from May 2012 to April 2013. Alessandro was a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich in 2012, where they worked on programming financial-data modelling software for the EU FOC (Forecasting Financial Data) Project. Prior to that, they were the Designer and Developer of the Zeel.ch Social Identity Platform from May 2011 to May 2012.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Alessandro worked as a Manager/Consultant at Oliver Wyman - Finance & Risk from September 2007 to May 2008, and as a Consultant at IRIS integrated risk management AG from November 2004 to May 2007. Alessandro also served as a Project leader at the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems, ETH Zurich from March 2004 to November 2004.

Alessandro Usseglio Viretta started their education in 1989 at the Università degli Studi di Torino, where they pursued a Diploma in Physics until 1996. Following that, they attended ETH Zürich from 1997 to 2003, where they obtained a Dr Sc Nat degree in Physics and Neuroscience. In 2013, they briefly enrolled in the ZHAW School of Management and Law to complete a CTI Entrepreneurship program, focusing on Business Development. Additionally, in 1993, they participated in an exchange program at Heidelberg University.
