Bin Zhang

Bin Zhang has extensive work experience in scientific roles. They started their career as a Research Technician at the University of Ottawa in 2004, where they investigated the role of the p2x7 receptor in cell communication. They then worked as a Research Associate at Neugenesis Co. from 2008 to 2010. At Amyris Biotechnologies, they were an Associate Scientist from 2010 to 2012, where they generated high-producing strains and screened mutagenesis libraries. They then worked as a Senior Research Associate at Teva Pharmaceuticals in 2012, where they validated and characterized candidate targets for cancer therapy. At Bio-Rad from 2013 to 2021, they held multiple roles including Chemist III, studying gene expression and developing assays for digital PCR, and Scientist, collaborating on Genome Editing assays and developing QC methods. They currently work at Triplebar as a Scientist starting in 2021.

Bin Zhang earned a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Carleton University, studying from 2001 to 2004.
