Alison Lowenstein is a seasoned freelance writer with extensive experience in various writing and editorial roles. Since January 2002, Alison has operated as a self-employed freelance writer and has contributed to TripSavvy since March 2015, focusing on writing and editing content about Brooklyn. Previously, Alison worked as a freelance travel editor for Gothamist.com from March 2014 to 2016 and served as a freelance editor and writer for the Disney Publishing Group from February 2012 to August 2013, where contributions included early readers and storybook collections for the Marvel Books imprint. Additionally, Alison has authored several regional guidebooks published by Rizzoli International Publications and taught literature and composition classes as an adjunct lecturer at York College from 2004 to May 2009. Alison holds an MA in English/Creative Writing from The City University of New York and a degree from Purchase College, SUNY.
