Dibakar Sigdel

Dibakar Sigdel, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. Dibakar is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Truveta since 2022. Previously, they were a Data Scientist at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they built a cloud-based natural language processing pipeline for biomedical documents and developed deep learning models for document classification in cardiovascular medicine. Prior to this, they worked as an Instructor of Physics, e-Learning at Florida International University from 2016 to 2017, where they designed online course syllabus and assignments using e-learning platforms. Dibakar also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution from 2011 to 2016, focusing on numerical methods in differential equations and utilizing various software tools.

Dibakar Sigdel, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of physics, mathematics, and artificial intelligence. Dibakar obtained their Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, from 2004 to 2006.

Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics at Florida International University from 2011 to 2017, specializing in the theoretical aspects of physics.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Dibakar Sigdel completed several certifications and programs. In 2016 to 2017, they obtained a Machine Learning Nanodegree from Udacity, focusing on machine learning techniques.
