Karunesh Gounder

Head of Network Design and Delivery at Tutatahi First Fibre

Karunesh Gounder has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Karunesh began their career in 1999 with IBM Global Services as a Critical Process Tester. In 2000, they worked as an Assistant Venue Technology Manager for SOCOG (Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games). Later that year, they transitioned to Uecomm Limited as a Project Manager. In 2001, Karunesh joined ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) as a Consultant/Analyst until 2003. Karunesh then moved on to Fluke Corporation, where they served as an IT Manager/Technical Sales until 2006. Karunesh then worked at Velocity Networks Limited as a Project Manager from 2006 to 2011. Most recently, they held multiple roles at Ultrafast Fibre, including Project Manager from 2011 to 2015, Programme Manager - Build from 2015 to 2020, and currently serves as the Head of Network Design and Delivery.

Karunesh Gounder has a BSc degree in Computer Science & Information Systems from The University of Waikato, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. In addition, they completed a PRINCE2 certification at APM in the year 2010.
