Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Ryan started their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Johnson Controls in 2002. After that, they joined Gentex Corporation as a Research Engineer - Vision Systems in 2003 and worked there until 2009. At Gentex, they gained experience in vision systems. In 2009, Ryan joined Twisthink as a Computer Vision and Software Engineer. Over the years, they took on various roles within the company, including Computer Vision and AI Team Lead and Principal Algorithm Engineer and Team Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Data Science at Twisthink, starting in May 2023. Overall, Ryan's work experience is focused on computer vision, AI, and data science.

Ryan Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Calvin University from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Grand Haven High School from 1996 to 1999, but did not obtain a degree or field of study. In 2014, Ryan studied Machine Learning through Coursera and their education in this field is ongoing. Moreover, in 2015-2016, they pursued a course in Leadership offered by Leading By Design - LEAD365. In terms of additional certifications, Ryan obtained various certifications related to Data Science and Machine Learning, most notably from Coursera and IBM. These certifications were obtained between 2015 and 2023.
