Helena Wimbush

Helena Wimbush has extensive work experience in marketing and communications roles. Helena currently serves as the Head of Marketing & Communications at Twycross Zoo, where they have been since August 2021. In this role, they manage the execution of the annual marketing strategy, plans and delivers integrated marketing campaigns, and leads a team of marketers and designers. Helena was previously the Marketing Manager at Twycross Zoo from July 2017 to July 2021, where they transformed the marketing approach of the business and achieved record-breaking revenue and visitor numbers.

Prior to their role at Twycross Zoo, Helena worked as a Communications Manager at the NFU (National Farmers' Union) from May 2016 to June 2017. Helena was responsible for delivering the communications strategy and managing a CRM agency to increase brand awareness.

Before that, Helena served as an Assistant Marketing Manager at Drayton Manor Park Limited from January 2015 to April 2016. Helena worked alongside the Head of Marketing to deliver consumer marketing campaigns and successfully managed the marketing campaign for the expansion of Thomas Land.

Helena also worked as a Marketing Officer at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust from November 2013 to December 2014. Helena played a key role in the rebrand of the organization and managed seasonal marketing campaigns.

Their early work experience includes a role as a PR & Communications Assistant at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust from January 2011 to November 2013. In this role, they were responsible for media relations, social media management, and coordinating communications campaigns and events.

Helena Wimbush began their education at Woodway Park School and Community College from 2002 to 2007. Helena obtained 13 GCSEs with grades ranging from A to C. Later, in 2011, they attended Stratford Business Services to study Business Administration, which lasted until 2012. In the same year, they enrolled in Warwickshire College - Leamington Centre to pursue a CIM Certificate in Marketing.
