Madeleine Millin

Deputy Section Head: Birds, Reptiles And Invertebrates at Twycross Zoo

Madeleine Millin has a diverse range of work experience in animal care and conservation. Madeleine started their career as a volunteer Animal Keeper at Shaldon Wildlife Trust in 2002. In 2003, they became an Animal Keeper at Living Coasts, where they worked until 2012. During their time at Living Coasts, they gained valuable experience in animal care and husbandry. In 2007, Madeleine volunteered as a Behavioral Volunteer at The Jane Goodall Institute, Chimp Eden. In 2012, they worked as a Dolphin Training Intern at Dolphin Cove, where they had hands-on experience with Atlantic Bottle Nose Dolphins and parrot species. In 2013, they worked as a Cub Rearer at Cheetah Outreach and then joined Twycross Zoo as the Deputy Section Head for Birds, Reptiles, and Invertebrates. Madeleine's experience includes training sessions, guest interactions, and orientations.

Madeleine Millin obtained an Advanced National Certificate in Management of Zoo Animals (ANCMZA) from Sparsholt College from 2003 to 2005. Madeleine then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Animal Sciences from Hartpury College, University of the West of England, although the start and end years for this degree are unavailable. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Sports Diver from BSAC, which was obtained in 1995.
