Lauren Giles

Lauren Giles serves as Deputy General Counsel for Payment Services at U.S. Bank, leading a global legal team of over 20 lawyers since January 2020. Previously, Lauren held the role of Chief Counsel at Elavon and Senior Associate General Counsel at U.S. Bank while at Alston & Bird LLP, where significant contributions included advising clients on strategic transactions in the payments industry and providing regulatory guidance for faster payments platforms. Additional experience includes lecturing at the University of Washington School of Law and working as an associate at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright. Lauren holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Political Science from Emory University.
