JonMarc Buffa has extensive experience in legal and regulatory roles, primarily with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission since 2008, where current positions include Counsel to the Director of Enforcement for Cooperative Enforcement and Senior Trial Attorney. Buffa also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, focusing on Financial Market Reform and Innovation. Previous public service included a tenure as a Commissioner on the District of Columbia Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1C from 2015 to 2017. Buffa has participated as a professional volunteer in multiple Republican National Conventions and worked as a campaign attorney for the McCain-Palin presidential campaign.
