Aisha Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Aisha began their career in 1995 as an Office Automation Clerk at FEMA and held this position until 1998. In 2000, they started working at U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a Management and Program Analyst, a role they held for nine years. From 2009 to 2016, they continued their service as a Management and Program Analyst but later transitioned to become the Chief In-Country & Reintegration. In 2018, Aisha became the Chief Human Capital before assuming the position of Chief, Recruitment and Staffing in 2019. In 2022, they briefly served as the Acting Director, Human Capital, and currently holds the position of Deputy Director Human Capital at U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Aisha Jones holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained in the year 2025. In addition, they also completed a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management from the same institution in 2025. Prior to that, Aisha earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2023, along with an Undergraduate Certificate in HR People Analytics from the same institution in the same year. Before pursuing higher education, Aisha completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Forensic Science from Prince George's Community College in 2012. Aisha also graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in 1996 with a High School Diploma, majoring in General Studies. Aisha has obtained various certifications, including Conscious Leadership, How to Be More Strategic in Six Steps, Managing New Managers, Executive Leadership Certification, HR People Analytics, Strategic Human Resources, and Advanced Leadership Certification from various institutions such as LinkedIn and The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) between 2022 and 2023.
