Charlie Nobles

Charlie Nobles has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Charlie is currently the Vice President of Business Development - Utilities at Ubicquia, Inc, where they have been since 2019. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President of Sales - Utilities at the same company. From 2011 to 2015, Charlie worked at Sensus as the Marketing Director - Lighting Solutions, responsible for global product roadmaps, sales strategies, partnerships, and integration strategies for intelligent outdoor lighting solutions. Before that, they were the Product Marketing Manager - Lighting at Sensus, focusing on the commercialization of intelligent outdoor lighting systems. Charlie also has experience at Metadigm Services, Inc. as the VP of Sales, where they developed a line of smart grid services. Charlie worked at Tyco Electronics / Energy Division as the HV Sales Manager, Americas, responsible for high voltage product sales, and as the North American Sales Manager - OEM Sales, responsible for business development and sales management. In the early stages of their career, Charlie worked at Progress Energy as a Team Lead, Data Services and as the Director, Energy Information, overseeing metering-related services and developing automated meter reading strategies. Charlie also worked at Tyco Electronics as a Project/Product Manager, and at Raychem as a Commercialization Manager. Charlie started their career at Lord Corporation as a Staff Scientist.

Charlie Nobles earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University in 1982, followed by a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 1984. Later, they pursued an MBA in Marketing and General Management from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, completing it in 2000.
