Christopher Cioffi

Christopher Cioffi, PhD, has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industries. Christopher worked at UCB from 2013 to the present, starting as a Clinical Program Director and progressing to the positions of Lead Clinical Program Director and then Senior Director and Lead Clinical Program Director. At UCB, they were responsible for overseeing clinical research programs and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Prior to UCB, Cioffi worked at Chelsea Therapeutics from 2008 to 2013 as the Director of Drug Development. In this role, they directed Phase I-III clinical research, developed clinical studies, and established standards and guidelines for research programs.

Before Chelsea Therapeutics, Cioffi was a Global Clinical Trial Manager at Schering Plough Corporation from 2007 to 2008. Christopher also worked at Johnson and Johnson from 2004 to 2007 as a Patent Manager and Patent Agent, specializing in immunology, inflammation, and related therapeutics.

Cioffi began their career at Osteotech in 2002, where they served as Intellectual Property Manager and Patent Agent. Osteotech is a global leader in the processing of human bone and connective tissue for transplantation and the development of biologic and biomaterial systems for musculoskeletal surgery.

Christopher Cioffi, PhD, holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology and Microbiology, which they earned from the Medical University of South Carolina from 1995 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Biology at Florida State University from 1991 to 1994. Christopher Cioffi completed their high school education at Spanish River from 1987 to 1991.
