Pankaj Tayal

Pankaj Tayal has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Pankaj began their career as an intern at Manian & Rao Chartered Accountants before moving on to GE Healthcare as an Industrial Trainee. Pankaj then worked at Landmark Group as a Corporate Finance Analyst, where they were responsible for monitoring investments and coordinating with investment bankers.

Following this, Pankaj served as a Finance Manager at Idea Cellular Ltd, where they handled revenue accounting and month-end reconciliations. Pankaj then joined Blue Dart as the Financial Head for South India operations, overseeing finance and accounts, budgeting, and legal and commercial activities.

After their stint at Blue Dart, Pankaj joined Flipkart as an Associate Director of Finance, where they led the Accounts Payable Function and implemented process improvements for invoice receipt and payment processing.

Pankaj later worked in the Investment Banking industry, providing CFO advisory services and working on deals related to valuation, acquisition, and debt restructuring.

Currently, Pankaj works at udaan.com, where they serve as the Head of Accounts Receivable. In this role, they oversee accounting and finance processes for receivables across various verticals. Pankaj plays a key role in driving automation, implementing new systems, and ensuring compliance. Additionally, they have been involved in strategic projects and pilots, assessing financial implications and establishing finance processes. Pankaj is also leading the finance team's involvement in the implementation of an accounting ERP.

Pankaj Tayal studied Accounting and Finance at Sambalpur University, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2003. Pankaj also completed a program at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2007.
