Saverio Sicilia has a diverse range of work experience. Saverio is currently working towards a PhD in Global Study (Politics, Law, Market, and Communication) at the Università degli Studi di Salerno, starting in 2022. In 2021, they held the role of Federal Prosecutor & Match Delegate (Football Operations) at the FIGC - Italian Football Federation and also volunteered at UEFA for Event Legal Service during the UEFA Nations League Finals. In 2022, they volunteered as Event Transport for the Women's Champions League. Additionally, Saverio has experience as a Lecturer at the Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli since 2021 and as a Member of the Italian Basketball Federation's (FIP) economic disputes commission since 2020. Saverio was also a Lecturer at a postgraduate course in "SPORT LAW" at Sapienza Università di Roma in 2019. Saverio has legal experience as a Lawyer at various law firms, including SISTO LAW FIRM (2017-2019), STUDIO LEGALE DN LAW (2018-2019), and LAW FIRM G.M.&S. – MILAN/SALERNO (2015-2017). Furthermore, they have served as a member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine of Sport Law called "Rivista di diritto sportivo" at CONI since 2016. Their role includes responsibilities such as administrative law decisions, drafting essays on sports law, organizing Sport Law Conferences, and authoring essays.
Saverio Sicilia began their education journey in 2005 at the University of Salerno, where they pursued a degree in Law and completed it in 2011. Following this, in 2016 and 2017, Saverio attended the Luigi School of Law in Rome to undertake a postgraduate course in "Innovation and Competition Law." In 2018, Saverio enrolled at the 24ORE Business School for a postgraduate course in Sport Management 4.0. Finally, in 2019, they attended the C.N.F. - Italian Lawyer Association for an advance course in Law and Sport Trial.
