Saleem Akbar

Saleem Akbar is a seasoned compliance and internal audit professional with extensive experience in the banking and finance sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Reviews and Compliance Management UK and Associate Director of Compliance at UniCredit since February 2011, Saleem is responsible for the management and execution of compliance reviews and investigations across various asset classes. Prior roles include Vice President of Internal Audit at both UniCredit Bank and Deutsche Bank, where Saleem led comprehensive audit reviews. Earlier experience encompasses senior auditing roles at Standard Life and State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, as well as academic credentials with an MBA in Finance from the University of Santo Tomas and a BSc in Advanced Mathematics and Physics from FC College Lahore, Pakistan.
