Thomas Nelson

Thomas Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Thomas started their career in 1998 at Emory & Henry College, where they worked as an Area Coordinator in the Housing Office, Assistant Football Coach, and Softball Coach. During this time, they also managed the male dorms on campus and supervised a team of 40 resident advisors. In 2006, Nelson joined Cherokee County School District as a Health and Physical Education Teacher, becoming a Teacher/Coach at Murphy Middle and Murphy High School. Thomas remained in this role until 2021. Additionally, Nelson worked as a Personal Trainer at Hiwassee Valley Pool and Wellness Center from 2008 to 2018, assisting clients in achieving their fitness goals. Currently, they are employed at Union County Schools as the Head Women's Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director.

Thomas Nelson attended Emory & Henry College from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness.
