Connie Mabin

Connie Mabin has extensive work experience in communications and media. From 1998 to 2007, they worked as a Newswoman and Supervisory Correspondent for The Associated Press, where they managed a team and oversaw coverage of major news events. In 2007, they joined the United Steelworkers (USW), where they held various roles. As the Director of New Media, they led a team responsible for digital and traditional communications, focusing on storytelling and activism using multimedia platforms. As a Senior Communications Technician, they managed the design and strategy of the union's website and email communications. Connie also worked as a Content Creator, Editor, and had roles in diversity, inclusion, leadership, and youth engagement at USW and other companies.

Connie Mabin's education history includes attending Point Park University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Communications. Additionally, they pursued further education at the UALE Institute for Union Women at Rutgers University until 2016.
