Jennifer Larkin

Jennifer Larkin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Jennifer currently holds the position of Chief Development Officer (CDO) at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Founding Managing Director at Social Venture Partners (SVP) Philadelphia from July 2019 to July 2023, leading a collective giving network focused on reducing poverty in the region.

Jennifer also possesses significant experience at the United Way, where they held various roles from 2012 to 2019. These include Director of Major and Individual Gifts and Special Projects, Development Officer of Major Gifts, and Program Manager of Capacity Building.

Before joining the nonprofit sector, Jennifer worked as a Lead Promotional Manager at MKTG for eight years, from October 2010 to December 2018. Jennifer also served as a Business Analyst at Allan Collautt Associates from January 2011 to May 2012.

Earlier in their career, Jennifer held positions such as Senior Project Manager at Elwyn SEEDS, Special Education for Early Developmental Success from June 2008 to December 2010, MSW Intern at Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania from June 2008 to May 2009, and Behavioral Intervention Specialist/Residential Counselor at the Cutchins Program for Children and Families from June 2007 to June 2008.

Jennifer began their professional journey as a BSW Intern at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children from January 2006 to May 2006.

Jennifer Larkin has a Master's degree in Social Service Management from Bryn Mawr College, which they obtained between 2008 and 2009. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Social Work at James Madison University from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Jennifer has received three certificates from various leadership programs: the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute, Ascending Leaders Program; the ProInspire Leadership Institute (PLI) powered by Kresge; and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Emerging Leaders Program.
