José Alejandro Cheyne

He served as dean of the School of Administration before being elected as rector of the Universidad del Rosario. He is currently the World Chair of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), being the first Latin American and Colombian to obtain this position in said association.

He is considered one of the most important professors in Higher Education programs in Colombia. His firm desire to share his theoretical-practical learning experiences from a very young age have made him worthy of different recognitions such as Colegial de Numero del Rosario, The Outstanding Young People of the Colombian International Junior Chamber and an outstanding professor in postgraduate programs, among others. .

He studied at the Los Cerros Gymnasium. He is an Economist from the Universidad del Rosario, with a Specialization in University Teaching, Specialization in Business Administration, Master's in Pedagogy, Doctorate in Pedagogy from the UPAEP University in Mexico and studies in International Senior Management.

He served as rector of the Business University Foundation of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (Uniempresarial) for ten years. He was deputy dean of the School of Economics at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, construction manager and director of the Rosario Business Consulting Unit, and specialization coordinator at Universidad de la Sabana. He was monitor of differential and integral calculus, among other chairs.

He has had recognitions such as the Distinguished Service Military Medal of the FF.MM, Executive of the Year of the Junior Chamber, Collegiate of Number of the Universidad del Rosario and best professor in different universities.
