Hamed Valizadegan is a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, with extensive experience in data mining and machine learning applied to various space-related projects, including the Hubble Space Telescope and Kepler Mission. Valizadegan has held multiple roles at the United States Research Academy (USRA) focused on similar scientific objectives, and currently serves on the AI/ML Steering Committee for the Habitable Worlds Observatory while being an Principal Investigator for the eXoplanets Research Program. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral research associate position at the University of Pittsburgh in medical informatics, research assistant at Michigan State University, and a technical internship at Yahoo! Valizadegan earned a PhD in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
