Shazad Q Ashraf

Shazad Q Ashraf is a Clinical Director of Research, Development, and Innovation at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust since December 2014, leading initiatives to enhance clinical research and project delivery. Ashraf serves as the Colorectal Cancer MDT lead at both UHB and QEH and is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon. Additionally, Ashraf holds the position of Visiting Professor in Digital Health and Cardiac Innovation Cluster at Birmingham City University and is an Honorary Researcher at the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences, University of Birmingham. Previous roles include Locum Colorectal Consultant Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Academic Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford. Ashraf's educational background includes an MBBS from The University of Manchester, an FRCS in General/Colorectal Surgery, and a DPhil in Oncology from the University of Oxford, among other qualifications.
