Brian Alliston

Brian Alliston has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Brian started their career in 2003 as an Aviation Technician in the US Army. Brian later served as an Operations Manager, Airspace Manager, and Instructor/Personnel Manager, where they were entrusted with teaching, mentoring, and developing students and serving as a liaison for human resources issues. From 2016 to 2017, Brian was selected as the Project Manager and Director of Personnel Management for a large air traffic services organization in the US Army. Brian also served as a Cyber Security Exercise Planner, facilitating training for U.S. Army aviation task forces. From 2019 to 2020, Brian attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College as a student. Most recently, Brian has been working as an IT Project Manager for the US Army, leading audits, conducting cyber risk analysis, and managing projects related to network security and IT programs. In 2024, Brian will be joining The University of Georgia as the Director of Facilities.

Brian Alliston earned a Master's degree in Information Technology Project Management from Western Governors University in 2023-2024. In the same year, they also studied Cybersecurity Analytics at Fullstack Academy and Splunk for Security Analytics and Monitoring at Linkedin Learning. Prior to that, Brian received a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology from The University of Georgia in 2007-2009. Brian also holds an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Chaminade University of Honolulu (2003-2005) and an Associate of Arts in Audio Engineering from Full Sail University (1999-2000). Additionally, Brian has obtained several certifications from various institutions, such as CompTIA, LinkedIn, and SkillStorm, focusing on topics like cloud security, ethical hacking, and networking concepts. Brian also completed the FullStack Academy Cyber Security Cert. in August 2023.
