Jean McGowan-Jordan is an accomplished Clinical Cytogeneticist with extensive experience at CHEO since 2002, where responsibilities include serving as Scientific Director of the Clinical Cytogenetics lab and leading both the Genetics Diagnostic Laboratory and the Cytogenetics Laboratory for Eastern Ontario. Concurrently, Jean has held various academic positions at the University of Ottawa, including Professor and Associate Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, focusing on teaching Cytogenetics to Medical Residents and Fellows, as well as conducting applied research in Clinical Cytogenetics. Jean earned a Ph.D. in Human Cancer Genetics from the University of Ottawa between 1992 and 1997.
